New Oasis & Dashboard Confessional On Tonight’s Episode

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Two tracks exclusive to NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack will be featured in tonight’s very-special episode of NCIS:  “Boy With The Blues” by Oasis and “Even Now” from Dashboard Confessional.

oasis_mailchimpHailing from Manchester, England, Oasis has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide since the release of its debut album, Definitely Maybe, in 1991.  The band’s followup, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, became the second biggest selling album in UK  history, and reached the Top 10 in the  U.S.  and all over Europe and Asia.  The success of the band’s first two albums cemented Oasis as one of the biggest and most important bands in the world, and their stature has only increased in the 21st century.

dashboard-confessional_mailchimpSeveral notable songs have been written by band lead singer Liam Gallagher, including “Boy With The Blues. Recorded during sessions for the band’s most recent album, Dig Out Your Soul, “Boy With The Blues” has never before been released in the U.S., and is available here exclusively on the soundtrack.

Led by singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba, Dashboard Confessional began in 2000 as a vehicle for the artist’s intimately personal acoustic-based songs and as a side project from his previous band, Further Seems Forever.  A hugely popular appearance on MTV’s Unplugged and the release of their third album, the Platinum-selling A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar, cemented their stature as one of America’s most popular bands.

“Even Now” is a brand new recording from Dashboard Confessional, and available only on NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack.

Jakob Dylan’s Music In NCIS, No Matter What

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

After fifteen years as songwriter, lead singer and guitarist for The Wallflowers, Jakob Dylan released his first solo album, Seeing Things, in 2008.  Produced by Rick Rubin, the album’s 10 tracks are mostly delivered via stark acoustic arrangements which provide the perfect setting for Dylan’s distinctive vocals and outstanding songs.

The album received critical raves, as did a string of tours on both sides of the Atlantic that saw Dylan headlining his own dates, playing key festivals such as Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and opening for such legends as Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson.

For “No Matter What”, featured in tonight’s episode, the two-time Grammy Award winner fronts a band of renowned musicians – including Don Was on bass and Benmont Tench on keyboards – to deliver one of his most stirring ballads to date.  The track is available exclusively on NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack.
